Between the Lines is a shared reading and discussion space focused on bottoming practices, open to bottoms, riggers, and anyone curious or interested in deepening their understanding of rope dynamics.
Education for bottoms is still often overlooked in educational spaces. Regardless of the power dynamics we explore, negotiation, body awareness, and responsibility are shared. This is a place where we will freely be able to share and grow our thoughts together.
To start off this year we will read and discuss each chapter of Somatics for Rope Bottoms by Natasha Nawataneko considered by many one of the most important books in rope practice.
Although dedicated to bottoms, the book offers essential tools for everyone working with rope or engaging in BDSM practices, and its reflections extend far beyond play spaces. After all, learning to breathe, listen, and respond to our bodies is something we carry into all areas of life.
