ABOUT AFTER SCHOOL
You know how sex ed kinda sucked, all ovaries this and vas deferens that, with none of the stuff that actually mattered?
Well, After School is here to fix that. HaliHoEvents is bringing you an ongoing education series featuring workshops, lectures, panels, and discussion groups that explore the parts of sex, relationships, and intimacy that never made it into the standard curriculum. We dive into BDSM, kink, fetishes, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, queerness, communication, consent, pleasure, and plenty of other topics your guidance counsellor definitely wasn’t prepared to discuss.
Classes are led by peer and expert educators from local, national, and international communities, and are designed for consenting adults who want to learn, unlearn, and do better together.
If you have questions like “how do I date when I'm still unsure about my sexuality?" or “how do people actually do polyamory in real life?” or “what household items can I use for impact play?” you’re in the right place. And class is most definitely in session.

MEET THE TEACHERS
@FloggingFairy and @BoyWonderMB have been a couple and part of the Winnipeg kink community for over a decade. She is a pansexual, demiromantic switch who enjoys concocting creative scenes utilizing everything from impact and wax to rope and electro. He is a cishet ally top whose preferences lean towards impact, electro, and hypnosis. Together they share a joy in education, both receiving and giving, connecting with like-minded individuals, and are half the organizing team for @WinK-MB (Wierdos in Kink). They've attended and hosted events from Seattle to Bangaluru, however, this will be their first time on the East Coast.
VENUE LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY
The venue for both July classes is The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op Community Room.
From outside, the main accessible route is via the entrance on the Maitland Street side. There is a paved pathway connecting Gottingen Street and Maitland Street between Alter Egos Cafe (2193 Gottingen Street) and RadStorm/Eyelevel Gallery (2177 Gottingen Street). Note that this path can be uneven in places, and there is a gradual incline when approaching from Maitland Street.
The Community Room is wheelchair accessible via an automatic entrance door. An accessible washroom is located on the same floor. Once inside, the space is level, and furniture can be rearranged to accommodate mobility needs.
Please note that the community room has a low ceiling height of 6’7”.
If you have any accessibility questions or need support planning your attendance, please reach out ahead of time to [email protected] and we will do our best to assist.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
We know times are tight. If cost is a barrier, please reach out to [email protected]. We offer a limited number of reduced price spots for those who need financial consideration.
