Description
World Naked Bike Ride Helsinki, also known as Cyclonudista, is a peaceful, fun and very visible bike ride in the streets of Helsinki.
We celebrate bodies, bicycles and freedom of movement and at the same time we protest against car dominance, pollution and fossil fuel addiction.
This is a body positive, sex negative event
that means bodies and skin are welcome
harassment, cruising and sexual behaviour are not.
Dress code is “as bare as you dare”
You decide your own level of undress
from fully clothed to creatively covered with paint, costumes or colorful accessories.
Non sexual nudity is welcome but never required.
Typical flow of the day
Meet
We gather in a park in central Helsinki.
People arrive, say hi, relax, paint their bodies and bikes, prepare signs and chat.
Ride
Then we roll out together for a slow group ride through the city.
We stay as one visible group, obey basic traffic rules and keep the mood playful and respectful.
After
Many of us end with a swim, a picnic or a drink, depending on the weather and collective energy.
Who this event is for
People who love bikes, bodies, activism, performance, exhibitionism in a political context or just the idea of being delightfully out of place in public in a big, joyful group.
All genders, orientations, relationship styles and body types are welcome.
Kink friendly, LGBTQIA friendly, newbie friendly.
Important boundaries
No sexual activity during the ride or in the meeting place.
No touching without explicit consent.
No aggressive behaviour or intoxication that makes you unsafe on a bike.
Photos of others only with clear consent.
If you want to play or cruise, do that somewhere else after the event.
Practical notes
Bring a bike or other human powered wheels.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a towel and something to sit on.
Body paint, signs, music and bubbles are very appreciated.
The exact meeting point, route and time will be posted here and on our other channels closer to the day.
If you are interested in marshalling, music, live art, photography or helping with organisation, contact the organizer by private message.
