Description

ATTENTION ATTENTION: Please make sure to send us a DM to get the right payment link! Also make sure to check our Code of Conduct (which can be found here) Yes, also if you've been with us before!

Matten op Matten is back on Sunday the 26th of July! Our planning is as usual:

14.00: doors open, exploring the space
14.15: start event. We do a little opening circle to check in with everyone
14.30: open playfight space!
17.00: end of the event

Find someone that you would like to fight, find an open mat and negotiate your fighting rules, injuries and boundaries. Once you have reached an agreement... go have fun!

In this edition we keep our clothes on. We are not an explicitly sexual event.

Because we have limited space AND we want to maintain a safe environment, putting yourself on 'going' does not give you direct access to the event! So the process is as follows:

1.Put yourself on 'Going' and send us a DM that you want to join. First come = first spots reserved!
2. If we haven't met you before, we will ask you some questions before sharing the ticket link. If we have seen you before, you will receive the paying link through DM.
3. Receive your ticket link
4. Buy your ticket (be mindful: the ticket sometimes ends up in your spam)

No ticket? No fighting! Specific location and other practicalities will be disclosed in your Hipsy confirmation e-mail.

Some of our ground rules:

  • No means no. If someone doesn't want to fight with you, we expect you to honor that boundary. We expect the same for boundaries in fighting: if someone says 'no hair pulling', you don't pull their hair. We also expect you to be able to deal with a 'no' (so no whining and crying when someone doesn't want to fight)
  • No fighting while standing up! (unless you have experience in martial arts AND have explicitly negotiated this with your opponent)
  • NO body slams!
  • No grabbing loose fingers. They break. We don't break bodyparts on purpose.
