Rope Workshop!

Description
This workshop is tailored towards pairs which tie together. One ticket is shared between a pair.
This is designed and taught by @SwitchMeister and @_Malena for people who already know one single-column tie (any single column tie) and have some idea of rope handling and basic frictions such as a half hitch.
Rope bondage has a lot of potential on the floor. Everyone starts in some manner or another wtih some form of floorwork. So what are we actually doing? How do we move? How do we stay connected? How do we make the time between ties feel like part of the scene, rather in than a pause between technical steps? How can we use body handling and subtle movements? How can we find the potential to get creative?
This workshop explores floorwork as a way of developing more confidence, more presence, and more engagement in rope. Rather than focusing only on “more ties,” we will look at how rope can support interaction, positioning, pacing, and shared attention while staying grounded and accessible.
There will be some form of sadism as well 😘
Suitable for tying pairs. Switching is allowed and will be facilitated throughout the class.
Workshop Content
We focus on developing the skills of both the tying person and the person in ropes. We will work on both rope technique and the broader experience of tying, with attention to communication (whatever that means to you), flow, body awareness, and interaction. We will work on rope bondage as "tying with each other" instead of "tying another"
We will explore that through the following themes:
Technical Progression
We will build on the single-column tie and introduce more conceptual things that are useful in many rope sessions. These will include:
*Getting creative with one rope
*How do you move people with minimal effort
*Improvising and how to do things without thinking too much
*Intimacy and emotion between the people tying
*One nice sadistic tie
Smaller points incorporated into the above depending on time (not) all will be covered:
- Interaction of kink and power in rope bondage
*Communicating intent
*Using all of your body to help the tying process and not just your hands
This workshop is for people who:
- Know a single-column tie, Wrapping around the body, a half hitch and some frictions are useful but not necessary (munter hitch or x frictions)
- Want practical next steps rather than excessively rope technical things
- Want to improve flow between them and their partner
This is not an absolute beginners workshop. Participants should already be able to tie a single-column tie confidently enough to use it during this workshop.
The workshop is intended for couples and the spoken language is only English
For both people, negotiating consent and being able to define what their own boundaries are in terms of rope bondage, and also comfort in being close physically and or emotionally with their partner.
For the Person who's tying:
