Not all kinksters have trauma, and not all people with trauma enjoy kink. What happens when people explore their trauma in a kink space? This 2 hour workshop explores the science of trauma, how kink affects the brain, and under what parameters you can use kink to heal your trauma, based on current research.
WHO CAN/SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is helpful to to all who are interested in learning more about trauma and how that intersects with their kinky practices, service providers who work with individuals experiencing trauma, and individuals who provide services in the kink realm. This is an 18+ workshop.
ABOUT THE EDUCATOR
Rae Szereszewski helps adults feel more pleasure and confidence when it comes to navigating interpersonal relationships with realistic sexual health education and support. Rae is a certified sex educator and Options for Sexual Health SHEC graduate, and has a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Apparel Design from Toronto Metropolitan University. Drawing on her lived experience as a former latex designer and swingers’ club event coordinator, alongside current pedagogical best practices, Rae offers real-world education on kink, consensual non-monogamy, consent, pleasure, and more.
