If you’re currently managing health risks by crossing your fingers, relying on outdated heteronormative assumptions, or avoiding open talk because you’re terrified of making things "awkward," you’re not alone. Ignoring the reality of connected partner networks doesn't protect you; it simply creates blind spots and fractures our community when an infection inevitably pops up.

Whether you move in kink circles, swinger spaces, party/rave scenes, or all three, this class is the antidote to shame and guesswork. We are stripping sexual health, barrier negotiation, and network transmission down to their practical roots and rebuilding them as a matter of peer care, bodily autonomy, and low-friction communication.
Network Mechanics & Microbes
We will take an in-depth look at how partner webs actually function across overlapping scenes from "two degrees of Kiwi separation" to the specific physics of fluid, skin, and toy transmission. Learn why a condom covers penetration but misses skin contact or unwashed toys, and how to de-catastrophize STIs, yeast, BV, and viral exposures (like Hepatitis B/C) without moralizing or panic.
The Negotiation Toolkit
We break down inclusive barrier options; from external/internal condoms to dams, gloves, PrEP, PEP, and Doxy-PEP, without defaulting to gendered or binary language. You’ll learn how to navigate NZ-specific healthcare access discreetly and master simple, casual scripts that make STI and boundary talks natural, quick, and buzzkill-free.
Interactive Practice
You’ll get hands-on practice through three structured, classroom-safe activities:
- Activity 1: Mapping the Local Web: Visualize how kink, swinger, and party networks overlap, analyzing how micro-actions (like toy hygiene or individual party gear) protect the wider network.
- Activity 2: Cross-Scene Negotiation & Scripts: Roleplay using low-stakes, casual Kiwi scripts to negotiate barrier use, testing expectations, and party boundaries across different scene dynamics.
- Activity 3: Local Health Navigation: Map out confidential NZ testing avenues (from specialist sexual health clinics to drop-in drop-swabbing and home kits) and build a personalized testing action plan.
Who this is for: Sexually active adults across all relationship styles, play preferences, and subcultures looking to navigate health, play, and communication cleanly, efficiently, and boldly. All experience levels and dynamics welcome.
What to bring: A notebook or device.
The Container: Facilitated by Iron_Butterfly. Scenarios are kept strictly in the third person, and there is no forced personal sharing.
Curiosity is welcome; entitlement is not.
Admission includes a structured 15-minute mid-session break with complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, class begins at 6:30 PM.
