Oz Kink Fest Event Etiquette & Community Expectations
Oz Kink Fest is committed to creating safe, inclusive and respectful spaces for all attendees. While each event within the festival may have its own specific rules, the following expectations apply across all Oz Kink Fest events.
Consent is Mandatory
Consent must be informed, enthusiastic, ongoing and freely given.
A "no" is final and must be respected immediately.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Never assume consent based on appearance, clothing, role, relationship status or previous interactions.
Respect Personal Boundaries
Ask before touching anyone, their clothing, equipment or personal belongings.
Respect physical, emotional and social boundaries.
Not everyone attends events to play, socialise or engage in scenes.
Photography & Recording
Photography, video recording and live streaming are only permitted where specifically authorised.
Respect the privacy and anonymity of all attendees.
Never photograph or record another person without their explicit consent.
Be Inclusive & Respectful
Treat all attendees with courtesy and respect.
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation or unwanted attention will not be tolerated.
We welcome people of diverse genders, sexualities, relationship styles, identities, abilities and experience levels.
Follow Event-Specific Rules
Some events may have additional dress codes, play rules, venue restrictions or behavioural expectations.
All attendees must comply with instructions from event organisers, venue staff, volunteers and safety personnel.
Alcohol & Substance Use
Attend responsibly.
Intoxication is not an excuse for inappropriate behaviour.
Any behaviour that compromises safety may result in removal from the event.
Confidentiality & Community Trust
What people share about themselves, their identities or their participation in the community is theirs to disclose.
Respect the privacy of others both during and after the event.
Look Out for Each Other
If you witness unsafe behaviour, consent violations or anything concerning, speak to event staff or volunteers.
We encourage a culture of care, accountability and mutual respect.
Right of Refusal
Oz Kink Fest reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive, non-consensual or inconsistent with the values of the event. Refunds will not be provided in these circumstances.
Above all, be respectful, communicate clearly, practise consent and help us create a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy their festival experience.
