Rapid Antigen Tests( RATs) are mandatory for this event. For fast and seamless entry and to minimalize community exposure, we ask that you RAT on the same day before and take a photo of your test results to show us at the door.
RATs and masks will be available onsite before the event starts, arrive 20 mins early
BYO alcohol (Limit pp 2sd) at this time, we may add a drinks package in future if there is enough interest AND responsibility

What if meeting people didn’t have to be awkward as fuck?
Tired of standing at a munch/event rehearsing in your head? or hoping someone interesting talks to you?
Us too.
So we’ve created Potential Connections. A kinky, speed dating style experience designed to make meeting new people fun, relaxed and, hopefully, a little bit exciting.
Our Potential Connections events will also have a curated element, designed to help you meet the people you may actually connect with.
This isn’t about awkward small talk, forced conversations or trying to decide whether someone is your soulmate in 60 seconds- It’s about meeting people; Finding your kin, and seeing where the chemistry takes you.
*We have taken varied mobility requirements into consideration when designing this event.
How the Evening runs:
First~ Meet Your Side
We’ll start by splitting into two groups, getting everyone comfortably seated, and acquainted with their side of the room.
You’ll have a minute per match with an easy icebreaker to introduce yourself and answer a quick question designed to get the conversation started; A chance to put some faces to names, hear what brings everyone along, and break the ice before things get moving..
We will then turn the chairs around, and get into into the following rounds.
Second~ Rapid Connections
This is where the “speed dating” element begins.
You’ll have 20 x 2-minute prompted conversations with people from the other side of the room, giving you the chance to meet a whole lot of new people without having to spend the entire night wondering how the hell you’re supposed to approach them.
Then~ A proper break
Because we’re sadists, not monsters!
Take a breather, grab a drink, have a chat, regroup, let your brain catch up with all the new people you’ve just met… or just go stare at a wall, whatever it takes to ground yourself..
Next up~ Curated Connections
This is where things get a little more intentional…
Using the information you give us beforehand, we’ll put together small curated groups based around shared interests, what you’re seeking, and considering any boundaries you’ve supplied.
Rather than throwing 40 strangers into a room and hoping for the best; we’re going to do a little of the work for you.
You might discover someone you completely overlooked during the rapid rounds,
and hopefully finding yourself sitting with a group of people who are exactly your flavour of weird.
The catch? We won’t tell you exactly why you are at that table, it could be a romantic match, shared special interests, a potential mentor/mentee, the possibilities you supplied us with may lead to someone you instantly clocked, or someone you might not have expected to connect with…
And Finally~ We take the structure away…
You’ve met the room.
You’ve had your rapid connections.
You’ve had the chance to discover some genuinely compatible people…
Now you get to do your thing.
You’ll have a generous 60 minutes of open opportunity to follow the conversations that caught your attention, find someone you wanted more time with, make new friends, flirt, talk kink, discover shared interests or perhaps find something considerably more interesting.
No more bells.
No more rotations.
No more prompted conversations.
Just time to find your people.
You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for.
You just need to be open to the possibility that someone interesting might be sitting across the room.

Parking
- The venue has limited on site parking available for ACROD permit holders, you will need to contact us to request reserving.
- There is street parking in the surrounding block. Lord street has multiple public transport stops and lines in the near area.
*Please note occasionally this is impacted by HBF Park.
Clean Air Rapid
- For this event, it is mandatory that all attendees Rapid Antigen Test for viral illnesses before sharing space, and consider avoiding attendance if there is risk of close contact with any viral illness (ie Partners, Children, Housemates, Colleagues).

This policy is in place at intimate events not only to look after the longterm health of our high risk communities, but to also remain an inclusive welcoming space for any and all chronically ill, Immunocompromised and disabled folk among us.
While we highly recommend testing prior to arrival on site for seamless entry and taking a photo to show at door, we do have RATs and Masks available.
**If you are planning to test onsite please arrive minimum 20min early or your test will be invalid.
We run HEPA air purifiers and supply sanitisers and biocides at all events.
- We ask that attendees who are medically able to mask, wear provided face masks when possible, in order to make attendance more accessible for high risk, chronically ill, immunosuppressed/immunocompromised community members.

Mobility aid access
Possibly useful information about the venue are as follows:
- Single level building
- Access through front double doors.
- Surrounding footpaths have sloped access, visible on Google Street View of 236 Lord Street.
- There are varied accessible toilet options.
Dietary Requirements
- We always cater for Gluten Free and Vegan options, and are mindful of common allergies.
- Guests are welcome to BYO accessible nutrition and hydration required to have a safe and pleasant time.
Companion Cards
Carers of Companion Card holders attend free, and tickets can be selected by Ticket buyers at time of purchase, because waiting for requests and missing out sucks!
