Description
This workshop will only take place two times per year, and it makes sense to commit to all three if you want to dive into this path deeply.
It is one of the most important workshops I offer for those who wish to explore my style and understand my philosophy in a more embodied, integrated way.
I will Mainly concentrate on One ropes and Yoko tsury. The main Subject of this year will be Mouvements and body manipulation (With all the subject link
⚠️ This is not a beginner’s class.
To participate, you should already have:
- A solid rope foundation (as a model and/or a rigger)
- Good body awareness and safety knowledge (or a strong will to develop them)
- At very strict minimum, you’ve already attended“Begin your Kinbaku Journey (Nicolas’s Rope Introduction)”or an equivalent workshop, and have been practicing regularly since
What Is It About?
This intensive weekend is centered on switching roles — not as a game, but as a deep study of perspective and embodiment.
By experiencing both sides of the rope, you will feel the mirror of your usual role, refine your intuition, and fluidify your energy.
It’s a powerful way to expand your awareness, fine-tune your technique, and cultivate meaningful connection.
⚠️ Switching is mandatory for this workshop.
For the sake of fluidity, switching happens within your pair only.
What to Expect
- Mainly on Body manipulation and Mouvement (Dance).
- A deep focus on one-rope work
- Work on Yoko tsuri (Suspension).
- Exploration of how we move between energies: giving/receiving, leading/listening, action/reaction
Throughout the weekend, I will teach from both roles (Tori & Uke), sharing my own journey and experience.
The content will adapt organically to the group’s dynamic — no fixed structure, but a clear and evolving direction.
As always, the goal is not to stack techniques, but to reduce to the essential — to sharpen our awareness and move with purpose, presence, and care.
Why This Matters
To truly understand my approach to Kinbaku, switching is a key to the door.
This workshop is an invitation to go beyond “doing” rope — and instead, to feel it in your body, breath, and attention.
Whether you identify more as a rigger or a model, this work will bring depth, clarity, and balance to your practice.
