Scaredy Cats: Fear Play
Fear play from low stakes to high.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
RSVP to see full address
Description
Fear play comes in a huge variety of flavours, intensities, and impacts. There is fear play that is about actual terror, but there is also fear play that is about pretend fear, ‘in scene’ fear, where I know you’re not going to cut me but the thrill of having a knife to my throat adds flavour. This class covers the spectrum of options: fear play as a way of flavouring a scene while keeping things humane and low (actual) risk, what to consider when turning up intensity, options/progressions to increase response while minimizing physical or psychological danger.

Facilitator
Addie (she/they) is a Vancouver-based educator and co-founder of Studio Allegory where she provides ongoing rope education as well as workshops in a variety of other kink topics. She is a switch and self-suspender, and her diverse background informs her instruction. Her happy place is nerding out on technical tidbits, breaking down ‘soft’ skills into specific trainable habits, and finding ways of tailoring rope experiences to the individual needs of the people involved.
