What is in violation of this policy?
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Profiles created solely to redirect members to other sites
- Profiles under 3 months old that engage in promotional activity
- Multiple profiles created to market the same product or service
- RSVPing to an excessive number of events only to promote your profile
- Posting the same comment on more than ten different members’ posts within a 24-hour period
What is not in violation of this policy?
Examples include:
- Being an active member of the community
- Creating recurring events with different dates (e.g. monthly munch)
How do I report a potential violation of this guideline?
Report a potential violation as follows:
- Visit the page with the potentially offensive material
- Select "...", “More”, or “Options”, then select “Report”
- Select "Content Not Permitted" or “Other Reason”
- Select "Next"
- Add any additional information
- Select "Report"

Anyone who comes across a profile they believe might fall under this guideline.
What happens if someone violates this guideline?
If a profile is created solely to promote online services for financial gain, the account is removed.
Profiles less than 3 months old that engage in promotion will be removed.
