How do I clear the browser cache?

Please follow the steps below for your specific browser to clear your browser cache:

Note: If you are using our app (Progressive Web App), then you must follow the steps below for the browser that you installed the app with (e.g. if you installed the PWA using Firefox, then perform the steps above to clear your Firefox browser cache)

Firefox:

  1. Open the browser menu
  2. Click "History"
  3. Check the "Cache" and "Offline website data" checkboxes
  4. Click "Clear Now"

Chrome:

  1. Open the browser menu
  2. Click "Settings"
  3. Click "Privacy and Security" from the sidebar
  4. Click "Clear browsing data"
  5. Ensure all 3 checkboxes are checked (Browsing History, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files) and the time range includes the time when the issue started (e.g. Last 24 Hours/Last 7 Days etc)
  6. Click "Clear data"

Edge:

  1. Open the browser menu
  2. Click "Settings"
  3. Click "Privacy, search, and services" in the sidebar
  4. Under "Clear browsing data" click on "Choose what to clear" next to "Clear browsing data now"
  5. Ensure the "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" checkboxes are checked and the time range includes the time when the issue started (e.g. Last 24 Hours/Last 7 Days etc)
  6. Click "Clear Now"

Safari Mobile Browser:

  1. Open the "Settings" app
  2. Tap "Safari"
  3. Tap "Advanced"
  4. Tap "Website Data"
  5. Enter "fetlife" in the search bar
  6. Swipe "fetlife.com" to the left and tap "Remove"

Safari Desktop Browser:

  1. Open the "Safari" menu
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Click on the "Privacy" tab
  4. Click "Manage Website Data..."
  5. Enter "FetLife" in the search bar
  6. Click on "fetlife.com" and then click the "Remove" button

Opera:

  1. Open the browser menu
  2. Click "Go to full browser Settings"
  3. Click "Privacy & Security" in the sidebar
  4. Click "Clear browsing data"
  5. Ensure all 3 checkboxes are checked (Browsing History, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files) and the time range includes the time when the issue started (e.g. Last 24 Hours/Last 7 Days etc)
  6. Click "Clear data"
