We’ve created a better way to manage tagging requests, by adding a section for pending Tag Requests to the existing Requests page.

Moving forward, you will not only find Friend Requests but also Tag Requests when someone tags you in a picture or video on your Requests page. From there, you can easily choose to accept or to reject the tagging of yourself in the picture or video.

We’re confident that this feature will make the tagging approval process more efficient, transparent, and ensure that you will not miss the content that you have been tagged in.

Note: The requests icon will now display the total number of requests, which included both friend requests and tagging requests.

UPDATE: Two years ago, we implemented a feature that allows members to tag people in pictures and videos. However, the notification system for tag requests was not very effective, resulting in many pending requests being forgotten. That's why we've introduced this new feature that allows members to view all their pending tag requests on the Requests page, including the ones from months or even years ago.

As a result of this update, we're seeing a temporary spike in the number of members accepting content they've been tagged in. Unfortunately, this is leading to a significant increase in older pictures and videos being posted on activity feeds. We understand that this may cause discomfort for some members, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
