Diaper Lover
A person with an interest in diapers. The interest can be sexual (e.g: a diaper fetishist) or non sexual. Diaper Lovers (DL) can be attracted to the sounds, smells, and use of diapers. They may feel emotionally comforted by wearing them. The term AB/DL (Adult Baby/Diaper lover) is a generic term that incorporates this role however DLs specifically engage in play and activities wearing diapers and may not engage in age play itself e.g: they may not be Adult Babies, have infantile tendencies or have other baby related items such as, Binkis, bottles, toys, stuffies, little clothing etc.
Why People Are Into It
Common reasons someone might like wearing diapers include:
- Sensory Input: Diapers provide many different sensations, including lots of audible crinkling, and physical stimulation from the feel of the plastic and the tightness and pressure of the padding. Some diapers also have a smell.
- Bondage: Diapers are a natural toy for humiliation, obedience training, body control, etc.
- Safety: Diapers can provide a psychological safety net for people beyond going to the bathroom.
- Watersports/Scat Play: Diapers provide a way for people to enjoy watersports and scat play.
- Regression Aid: For some people, diapers help them feel younger, more cared for, or more dependent. This is why some diaper lovers also identify as adult babies.
