Jurisdiction and Voluntary Compliance

This website (“FetLife”) is operated by BitLove Inc., a Canadian entity based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and does not fall under the jurisdiction of United States law. Nevertheless, the operators have chosen to voluntarily comply with 18 U.S.C. § 2257, 18 U.S.C. § 2257A, and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 to assure those bound by these U.S. laws that all visual depictions on this website—whether of actual sexually explicit conduct, simulated sexual content, or otherwise—are of persons who were at least 18 years of age at the time of creation.

By virtue of this voluntary compliance, the operators do not acknowledge or recognize U.S. jurisdiction over them, nor do they attorn to the jurisdiction of the United States of America. Any legal actions or proceedings shall be resolved in appropriate provincial or federal courts located in Canada.

User-Generated Content and Exemptions

The operators of this website are not "producers" as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 2257(h)(2)(A) with respect to user-generated content. Their role is limited to hosting, transmitting, storing, retrieving, and formatting depictions uploaded by third-party members on areas under member control. As such, this website qualifies for exemptions under 18 U.S.C. § 2257(h)(2)(B)(v).

FetLife is a social networking platform that enables members to upload, share, and view adult-oriented content. While support staff strive to verify compliance, it may not be 100% accurate due to the volume of member submissions.

Responsibilities and Procedures for Compliance

FetLife is not a content producer but a facilitator. Its primary obligation is to promptly remove content that violates site rules upon identification.

To ensure compliance:

• All members must confirm they are at least 18 years old to join, upload, or interact with content.
• Members can flag content as inappropriate (e.g., illegal, unlawful, harassing, or offensive). Support staff reviews flagged items and removes violations in accordance with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. (Transparency Report)
• The operators reserve the right to delete any content inconsistent with site policies.

Member Obligations for Uploading Content

By uploading Member Submissions (photos, videos, or other communications), members accept full responsibility for their content and compliance with all applicable laws, as outlined in our Terms of Use and Rules & Policies. Members warrant that all individuals depicted are at least 18 years old and consent to the depiction.
