Inactive Group Owner

We know that sometimes things happen and situations change. If a group owner is no longer actively moderating their group and we feel that members are at a disadvantage, we will consider finding a new group owner to replace the inactive one.

A group owner may be considered inactive if:

• They have not logged in to FetLife for three months

Of course, we'd always prefer that the group owner takes the initiative and finds a suitable replacement for themselves. If there are other group leaders besides the owner, they have ‘first dibs’ on if they would like to own the group.

In the absence of an active group owner or leader, you can email [email protected] to inquire about taking over ownership of the group.

The support team will review the group and let the member know if it is eligible for takeover.

Qualifications to Takeover a Group:

• Lead fewer than 20 groups already
• Be a current member of the group
• Qualify to be a member of group (e.g. live in Canada but requesting a U.S. group)
