Guidelines & Legalese

FetLife's guidelines, privacy policy, legal info, etc.

Questionable Copyright

What makes FetLife special is that so many kinksters share their original work with the community. Allowing people to re-post content found elsewhere takes away from the people who post original content and can also open the door for bad actors who may use stolen content to mislead others, making it harder for genuine kinksters to connect.

That being said, we do allow the reposting of certain content, such as non-sexual memes commonly found on other platforms, to give everyone more opportunities for self-expression.

Before posting, ask yourself these three questions: “Am I in the content? Did I create it? Do I have permission to share it?” If the answer to all three is no, please do not re-post the content on FetLife.

What is in violation of this policy?

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Nude person in a picture or video (not including popular memes)
