Pacifier Gag
A pacifier gag is a type of BDSM gag designed to resemble a baby pacifier or soother but that functions as a mouth-filling restraint. It typically combines a large pacifier-style mouthpiece (often silicone or rubber) with a strap that buckles or snaps behind the head to keep it secured. A pacifier gag may also be referred to as a paci gag or adult paci.
While it evokes childhood imagery, a pacifier gag is designed to restrict speech and amplify vulnerability. But it's a milder option compared to a ball gag and tends to cause less fatigue. This is because the shield resting against the lips provides a natural limit on depth, and the shape encourages a suckling response rather than a forced open-mouth position.
This type of gag is common in age play and humiliation play ("babied" or infantilized roles). In age play and ABDL contexts specifically, it can be a tool for entering or deepening littlespace. Rather than serving primarily as a restraint, it signals a shift in headspace or role. In humiliation dynamics, it is used to infantilize the wearer, emphasizing submission and dependence.

Silicone is the most common material for the mouthpiece, as it is body-safe, easy to clean and durable. Some people also make their own pacifier gags, but using a baby pacifier is not recommended.
