Top

Within queer culture a top refers to a person of any gender or sex who tends to be the giver (rather than receiver) in any sort of sexual intimacy, whether penetrative or not. In traditional gay male culture, a top is a man that prefers to penetrate their partner during sex, either anally or orally.

Identifying as a top in this context does not necessarily mean a person is also a kink top. One can be a queer top and kink bottom.
