Schizoaffective Disorder
Schizoaffective disorder refers to having schizophrenia symptoms, as well as mood disorder symptoms associated with bipolar disorder or depression. For example, one may have visual or audio hallucinations and extreme mood swings, ranging from manic to depression.
There are two types of schizoaffective disorder:
- Bipolar type: Symptoms of schizophrenia as well as bouts of mania and/or major depression.
- Depressive type: Symptoms of schizophrenia as well as bouts of major depression.
