Stocks

In BDSM, stocks are a traditional restraint device designed to immobilize someone within a wooden or metal frame. Stocks usually secure the ankles, wrists, or occasionally both. They can be free-standing or mounted on benches or frames and often feature padding or leather linings for occasional comfort. Stocks prevent movement, keeping the submissive partner in place, and are used for teasing, sensation play, or impact play.

Stocks are often confused with, but are different from, a pillory, which typically restrains the wrists and neck.
