Nipple Clamps
Nipple clamps are devices that attach to and are used to squeeze the nipples. There are many different types of nipple clamps, with each providing their own type of sensation.
The use of nipple clamps is most common in sadistic and masochistic play. The less painful types of clamps are sometimes worn as a decorative accessory or used for sensation/stimulation play.
Types of Nipple Clamps
- Alligator clips: Clamps, usually made of metal, that have serrated teeth at the end of the legs. Sometimes these have a safety screw to prevent full closure.
- Bull nose clamps: A mechanic similar to a clothespin but with pincer shaped legs, often covered in silicone or rubber for comfort. These can also be used on the nasal septum (where a bull's nose ring would hang).
- Clover clamps: A mechanical, spring-loaded system that pulls small round beaks closed. Pulling at the end of them will make them close even further.
- Household clips: People have been known to use clothes pins, snack bag clips and binder clips. Caution should be used when using a household object as a kink toy as certain types may cause injury.
- Magnet clamps: This type uses magnets to put force on the nipple.
- Mawa clamps: Originally used on clothes hangers, such as those for pants, these have a wide beak, often coated with plastic, to spread the pressure.
- Medical clamps: commonly from either a medical or piercing background, these scissor-like devices have ends that can squeeze closed and hold position to different degrees.
- Piercing clamps: Extreme nipple clamps that will actually pierce the skin of the wearer. These are not very common and are considered part of blood play.
- Screw clamps: These use a screwing mechanism to increase the squeezing pressure.
- Suction clamps: The clamps us suction to provide pressure on the nipples.
- Tweezer clamps: Two rods connected at the base with a connector that, when slid closer to the tip, will cause the rods to press together and squeeze harder.
Attachments
Some people attach items to nipple clamps. This can include decorative jewelry, a bell to keep track of a person, small vibrators for some stimulation, or weights to pull on the nipples in addition to squeezing. The most common form of attachment is a chain, which can be used to attach the person to something or to hang weighted objects from. The chain itself often already carries a bit of weight of its own which can add a pulling sensation.
Sets of Clamps
There are also sets of clamps with built-in chains that attach to multiple points on the person's body such as to the person's nipples and genitals. Some sets also attach to thumb screws which create the effect of a minimal straitjacket. Sets can also be used in electro play as electrodes to conduct sensations.
