Bussy

Bussy is a slang term used primarily in queer communities to refer playfully or erotically to a male anus as a receptive sexual organ. The term is especially common among gay men and within drag and ballroom culture.

It’s often used humorously or flirtatiously, though depending on context it can be explicit or objectifying.

Origins of the Term

Bussy is believed to be a portmanteau of "butt" and "pussy," or of "boy" and "pussy." Some people also posit that it stands for "bro pussy."

According to some internet-slang trackers (e.g., Urban Dictionary), the term has been used by gay men since at least the early 1990s (e.g., “for at least 15 years by gay men” in a 2007 entry) to describe their “man-hole of love.”

A video by BuzzFeed in 2019 saw actor Taron Egerton asked “what’s a bussy?” after reading a tweet. That helped expose the term to more mainstream audiences.
