Grool

Grool is slang for natural vaginal fluid, especially when it is abundant, thick, stringy or visibly coating the vulva, fingers, toys or a partner’s body. The term is commonly used in porn and kink communities.

Grool is sometimes described as “girl cum,” but it does not necessarily indicate ejaculation or orgasm. Grool is also different from squirting and female ejaculation, which involve fluid expelled through the urethra.

The word’s nonsexual meaning has a clearer origin. In the 2004 film "Mean Girls," the word is used as an accidental combination of "cool" and "great." This appears to be an independent coinage rather than the source of the sexual meaning.

Google Trends records limited interest in the term grool beginning after 2004, followed by substantial growth from approximately 2013 to 2016. Because the data combines searches for both meanings, it cannot establish when the sexual usage began or prove what caused the increase. The pattern likely reflects a mixture of continuing interest in the "Mean Girls" quotation and the term’s growing visibility in porn and online communities.

By the late 2010s and early 2020s, grool was established as niche sexual slang.
