Hotdogging
As sex slang, to hotdog, or hotdogging refers to non-penetrative sex in which one partner rubs their penis between another person's butt cheeks. The term is sometimes also used for other forms of outercourse, such as rubbing the penis between a partner's inner thighs or breasts. It is sometimes referred to as the "hotdog sex position."
Origins of the Term
The origins of this term are unclear. It first appeared in Urban Dictionary in 2003, and Google Search data suggests it has had significant search volume since at least 2004.
Safety and Consent
Although hotdogging does not involve vaginal or anal penetration, it can still transmit sexually transmitted infections through skin-to-skin contact and the exchange of bodily fluids. Using condoms and avoiding contact with broken skin can help reduce the risk.
Pregnancy is also possible. Partners who wish to avoid pregnancy may want to use contraception and/or avoid ejaculating near the vaginal opening.
Using lubricant can also help make the experience more comfortable and more fun.
