Ludophilia
Ludophilia is a strong love of play, games, and playful activity. In relationship or kink contexts, ludophilia may describe a strong preference for partners and dynamics that include humor, spontaneity, games, imaginative play, or lighthearted experimentation.
Some fetish glossaries use ludophilia for sexual arousal involving games, toys, or playful activities. But this sexual definition is inconsistently documented, and ludophilia is not a recognized clinical paraphilia.
Origins of the Term
Ludophilia combines the Latin ludus, which means “play” or “game,” with the Greek "philia," which means love. It literally means “love of play” and appears in academic writing from at least 2008, later becoming associated with enthusiasm for games and gaming culture.
A sexual definition was circulating online by at least 2007, when a LiveJournal fetish glossary described ludophilia as sexual attraction to games, including video games. Later glossaries expanded it to include sexual pleasure involving toys, but these definitions are inconsistent and lack an identifiable source.
