Woman usually refers to a person who identifies as woman. This often, but not always, aligns with people who identify as female. Those who identify as women can include:

• Cisgender women (assigned female at birth and identify as female)
• Transgender women (assigned male at birth but identify and live as female)
• Anyone who personally identifies with the term "woman" as part of their gender identity
