Androsexual usually refers to someone who experiences sexual and/or romantic attraction to masculinity, regardless of the gender identity of the person expressing it. The term focuses on the masculine traits or presentation, rather than binary gender labels like “man” or “male.”

An androsexual person may be attracted to men, masculine-presenting non-binary people, or transmasculine individuals. It’s often used by non-binary, gender-diverse, or questioning people who don’t feel aligned with traditional orientation labels like “gay” or “straight.” The emphasis is on energy, presentation, and aesthetic masculinity, not necessarily anatomy or gender assignment.
