Homocurious is a blend of "homo" (from "homosexual") and "curious" (meaning interested or exploring.) It started showing up in casual conversation and media in the 1990s–early 2000s, as discussions about sexuality became more open and fluid. The term gave people a way to describe interest or experimentation without committing to a label.
It’s informal slang that grew naturally as people looked for a softer, more flexible way to talk about exploring same-gender attraction.
