Skoliosexual/Ceterosexual
A skoliosexual refers to someone who is attracted to people who are nonbinary. Skoliosexuals may or may not be attracted to cisgender people as well. A skoliosexual may also be known as a ceterosexual.
Origins of the Term
Skoliosexual comes the Greek "skolio," which means "bent." As a result, some people find this term offensive, and prefer the term ceterosexual, which comes from the Latin word for "other."
Early definitions sometimes framed this term as “attraction to non-cisgender people,” which included binary trans men and women. Over time, many in queer and trans communities criticized that broader definition as transphobic, since it suggested that binary trans people are not “really” men or women. Today, the more accepted usage limits skoliosexuality/ceterosexuality to attraction specifically toward non-binary people, not all trans people.
