Accipiosexual
Accipiosexual (also known as iamvanosexual) refers to someone who enjoys having sexual acts performed on them but who does not want to perform sexual acts on others. It is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum.
Accipiosexual can be a sexuality by itself or it can be combined with other sexualities. Some accipiosexual people might also identity with other asexual orientations.
The opposite of accipiosexual is placiosexual.
Origins of the Term
The term accipiosexual likely emerged in the late 2010s or early 2020s. It was added to LGBTQ+ wikis in the 2020s, and first appeared on FetLife in 2022.
The name is believed to derive from the Latin word "accipio," meaning "to receive" or "to accept."
