Myrsexual
Myrsexual is an asexual-spectrum identity for someone who identifies with or experiences multiple ace-spec identities at once. Rather than one label fully describing their experience of sexual attraction, a myrsexual person may find that several ace-spectrum terms apply to them simultaneously.
These identities may overlap, or the person may shift between them over time. As a result, no single ace-spec label may fully describe their experience. For example, someone might identify as both graysexual and demisexual, or relate to several other ace-spec microlabels depending on the circumstances.
Ace-spectrum labels can describe different aspects of a person's experience, so identifying with more than one doesn't necessarily mean the labels contradict each other. Someone might experience sexual attraction very rarely, for example, while also finding that it becomes more likely after forming a strong emotional bond. Myrsexual gives people a way to describe that kind of overlap without choosing a single microlabel.
Myrsexual can be similar to aceflux, but a myrsexual individual is not always fluid between their labels.
Origins of the Term
The term myrsexual dates to 2015 and is generally credited to the now-deactivated Tumblr blog pride-flags-for-us, where it was introduced alongside myrromantic. A myrsexual pride flag was created at the same time.
The term may come from the Greek root "myri", which means something like "countless" or "many."
