Kinksexual (also know as kink-exclusive or obligate kinky) usually describes someone who needs kink for sexual arousal, engagement or fulfillment. For a kinksexual, vanilla sex, regardless of the emotional intimacy or partner, is experienced as unappealing, flat or dissociating.

The term appears most commonly in BDSM, polyamory, and sex-positive online communities rather than in clinical or academic language.
