Co-Topping
Co-topping is a common term in kink for when two (or, rarely, more) people both top the same bottom in a scene. For instance, if two people are both tying someone up, they would be co-topping that bottom.
This is generally used specifically for kinky play (whether sex is included or not), rather than sexual intercourse or positions. Two people having sex with the same person wouldn't be considered co-topping unless kink play were involved with the sex. For instance, two women wearing strap-ons and both pegging their bottom while they (consensually) humiliated him for being "their bitch," would be considered co-topping even though sexual intercourse were being performed.
Co-topping requires a significant degree of coordination and communication between the tops, both in negotiation beforehand and during the scene itself. Uncoordinated co-topping can result in conflicting intentions, contradictory instructions to the bottom or actions that accidentally compound in ways none of the participants anticipated. Tops should discuss in advance what each will be doing, how they will communicate with each other mid-scene and how they will handle it if something needs to stop.
From the bottom's perspective, being topped by two people simultaneously can be an intense and disorienting experience, in both positive and challenging ways. Sensory input, instructions and physical attention coming from multiple directions at once can heighten the experience significantly, but can also make it harder to track what is happening or to communicate a need to slow down or stop. This makes thorough negotiation beforehand especially important, including agreeing on safewords and check-in signals that both tops will recognise and respond to.
