Zentai
Zentai refers to a full-body, skintight suit that covers the wearer from head to toe. Zentai are usually made of spandex, Lycra, or a similar stretchy fabric. In kink, zentai suits are used for fetish play, sensory deprivation, anonymity, or body-worship scenes. They can cover the face, smooth the body’s shape, and give a tight, uniform look that some people find sexy, comforting, or dehumanizing. Some versions include attached hoods, mittens, or zippers for access.
Origins of the Term
The term zentai comes from the Japanese phrase zenshin taitsu (全身タイツ), which literally means full-body tights. In everyday Japanese, zentai can also mean “entirety” or “whole."
