Parental Controls
Parental controls can refer to the consensual use of parental-control or accountability apps within a BDSM or power-exchange dynamic.
In chastity and orgasm-control dynamics, these apps may be used to block porn, limit access to sexual content, restrict particular apps or websites, or make it harder for the submissive to break agreed rules. The point isn't just to block access; it's to reinforce the feeling that the submissive needs permission to do certain things.
In long-distance chastity, parental controls may be used alongside other forms of accountability, such as cage checks, timestamped photos, numbered locks, remotely controlled key storage, or scheduled and random check-ins. During challenges such as Locktober, they may become one part of a wider system of chastity, orgasm denial, porn restrictions, and behavioral rules.
For some submissives, the appeal comes from making the loss of control feel more real. Instead of simply promising not to watch porn or access certain content, the restriction is actually enforced by someone else. This can add frustration, anticipation, discipline, and a stronger sense of surrender.
These apps can sometimes affect important device functions or provide access to sensitive information. Both people should agree beforehand on what can be restricted, what remains off-limits, how the controls can be removed, and what happens if either person withdraws consent.
