Mono-Poly
Mono-poly (short for monogamous–polyamorous) describes a relationship between one monogamous person and one polyamorous person.
Mono-poly is a form of ethical non-monogamy (ENM) requiring clear communication and boundaries. Both people agree to the arrangement, even though their relationship styles are different.
People end up in mono-poly relationships because:
- They fell in love with someone who has a different relationship style.
- They want to stay together without forcing either person to change.
- One partner is polyamorous by identity, while the other is not.
