Don't Ask Don't Tell

Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT) (pronounced "dee-a-dee-tee") is a relationship style in which the partners agree to keep all or some information about any sexual and/or romantic relationships they are having outside of the relationship a secret from each other. The partners will not ask each other about those outside relationships nor will they share information about them with the partner unless their DADT agreement allows for that.

This differs from cheating in that the partners have discussed and agreed to the DADT policy, and partners know their partners may have other relationships.
