Aibunawa
A specific sub-category of Shibari and/or Kinbaku that differentiates itself by being "caressing" or "gentle" rope play with a Japanese origin. It is sometimes considered the opposite of another style called semenawa.
Origin
Considered to be developed by a Shibari Grandmaster Yukimura Haruki who was well known for this style. This style has been documented in film and passed on to students so it has developed further even after the grandmaster's death in 2016. No main successor of this style has currently been determined.
To me, shibari is an emotional exchange between a man and a woman. That´s unique to Japan – to express love and emotion entirely through the medium of rope. So Shibari is not how you do this tie or that tie, it’s how you use the rope to exchange emotions with another.
