Semenawa
As form of Japanese Bondage using Rope Bondage it is distinct for using "seme" (責め) in rope. "Seme" refers to "Attack", "Offence" or "Pressure" and "Nawa" (縄) means "rope" in Japanese.
"Seme" as a concept does not have a direct translation into English and has it's own set of meanings in this context. Generally it is considered to be referring more towards a "slow torturous" approach to rope bondage within the Japanese style, not only physically, but also emotionally and sexually. Semenawa sessions therefore tend to be longer sessions with a focus on the suffering of the Rope Bottom being lead through that experience by the Rope Top.
Akira Naka is well known for the semenawa style, but many other Japanese Bakushi apply Semenawa within their personal styles.
