Electro Slut
An electro slut is usually someone who enjoys eagerly receiving sensations from their partner during electricity play. They may enjoy anything from gentle tingling and pulsing sensations to sharper shocks, muscle contractions, pain, or the feeling of surrendering control of the intensity to another person.
The term is an informal, often playful or proudly reclaimed self-label rather than a fixed BDSM role. An electroslut may be a bottom or submissive, but neither is required. The word primarily describes a strong appetite for e-stim or other electricity-based sensation play.
Origins of the Term
Electroslut does not have a single documented origin. The word was in use by 2008 within electronic-music culture, where it referred to someone associated with the electro or techno scene. The German trance act Kamui also released a track titled “Electro Slut” that year. These early uses do not appear to have referred to erotic electrostimulation.
The term’s kink meaning was likely popularized by Electrosluts, an electrosex website and video series created for Kink.com by performer and director Bobbi Starr in 2012. Search interest began rising around the same period, suggesting that the series introduced the term to a much larger audience. Although Kink.com may not have invented the word, it appears to have helped establish electroslut as a playful label for someone who enthusiastically enjoys electrical stimulation.
