Object
As a kink role, an object is usually a submissive or bottom who consents to being treated, positioned, or viewed as an inanimate physical object, such as a piece of furniture.
A Dominant may enforce the object's role by requesting that they remain silent, hold a rigid posture, or maintain statue-like immobility. Being controlled as a "thing" without agency also feeds into this role.
The submissive as "object" temporarily sets aside decision-making and self-determination, acting as an inert or unresponsive item.
Treating a person as an object touches on themes of dehumanization. Partners often negotiate strict limits, safe words, and specific rules beforehand. Because this dynamic involves shedding personal agency, it relies heavily on clear boundaries, trust, and prior consent.
