Ma'am

In BDSM, Ma'am is a title or form of address used without a name as a form of respectful or polite address towards a woman of superior rank. Often the dominant female counterpart to the "Sir" role.

In the vanilla world Ma'am is used (in Britain) as a term for addressing the Queen or a royal princess or for a woman of high rank in the police or military.
