Rope Toy
Rope toy is usually a submissive role used to describe someone whose primary interest is in rope play and who enjoys being treated as a toy. The term “toy” emphasizes objectification or the idea of being used for another’s pleasure.
A rope toy may:
- Serve as a canvas for artistic rope (shibari/kinbaku) suspensions or ties.
- Be a practice partner for a rope top or rigger to hone techniques.
- Derive pleasure, relaxation, or subspace from being restrained and “used” in that context.
Rope toys may also consensually endure physical sensations—such as biting, flogging, spanking—with the use of implements, rope, and body parts while being restrained or otherwise immobilized.
