Zucchini

Zucchini is a term queerplatonic people use to refer to a partner. The term is a popular, tongue-in-cheek way to refer to that particular relationship, and was coined by aromantic people to give a name to a "relationship energy" that is more than friendship, but not quite romantic energy.

While coined primarily for aromantics, not everyone has to be aromantic to be in a queerplatonic relationship (QPR), and to experience that particular feeling about their partner. The term is not intended to refer to the zucchini's phallic shape, but was originally chosen because of its irreverence and as a joke. It happened to catch on due to the lack of any other term at the time.
