Warlock

A warlock is a fantasy BDSM role built around dark or forbidden power, or the idea that someone has gained extraordinary influence at a terrible personal cost. In kink, this is often framed as a deal with the devil, a curse, or a supernatural bargain that gives the warlock their authority.

Rather than controlling a partner through force alone, the warlock’s power is expressed through ritual, corruption, psychological domination, and transformation. Scenes often revolve around the feeling of being drawn into something dangerous, or slowly giving yourself over to someone whose power feels both irresistible and unsettling.

Warlock play may include:

  • Rituals or contracts.
  • Summoning or binding a submissive.
  • Temptation, corruption, or surrender.
  • Dark fantasies around demons, curses, magic, or cults.
  • Psychological play.

Some people mix warlock energy with sensory or edgeplay, such as fire, electricity, knives, or blood. Scenes may also be framed as magical experiments, trials, or offerings.

While a warlock is often a Dominant role, a warlock can be:

  • Top or bottom.
  • Dominant, submissive, or switch.
  • Sexual or non-sexual.
  • Serious, theatrical, or playful.
