Gentleman

A man who holds himself to a high ethical standard, exemplifying honesty, integrity, chivalry, self-discipline, and trustworthiness. A Gentleman understands and highly values consent in all situations, and treats their partners with respect and consideration. Gentlemen are known for providing assistance to others close by, such as offering to open a door for someone, or offering a seat to someone having difficulty standing.

While not always the case, a kink dynamic involving a Gentleman may also involve adherence to "good manners" in behavior and interactions, and/or a specific code of dress.

The term gentleman typically refers to a male person, just as Lady typically refers to a female person.
