Leather Slut
A leather slut is usually someone with a strong enthusiasm for leather as a fetish, kink, style, or identity. They may be aroused by the look, smell, feel, or sound of leather, enjoy wearing leather clothing or gear themselves, or feel especially attracted to other people wearing it. In other words, someone may be a “slut for leather” on their own body, on someone else’s, or both.
The term can also express sexual openness or an eagerness to explore leather-related play and culture. Slut is often used here as a proud, self-chosen word for someone who openly and enthusiastically celebrates what they enjoy.

Origins of the Term
Leather slut appears to have developed within queer leather culture by at least the late 1980s. In 1989, a San Francisco group called the Safesex Leather Sluts was organizing leather and S/M events, showing that the term was already being used as a proud community label.
The name combines leather, referring to leather culture or identity, with the reclaimed word slut.
The term later became common in pornography, where it is often used more literally for a highly sexual person dressed in leather. However, within leather communities, leather slut can remain a much broader and more affectionate identity for someone who enthusiastically embraces leather, kink and sexual self-expression.
